The adult evening lessons are usually hour sessions starting
at 6.30pm or 8pm although this may be subject to change according
to demand.
The PRT Sessions are for riders who want to learn both riding
and stable management and gain recognized qualifications.
The Progressive Rider Tests syllabus is set by the BHS and
runs from stage 1 to stage 6 with an adult and a junior version.
Certificates are given at each stage following a test by an
outside examiner held at the Riding School. The children's
tests are in two parts Equitation and Stable Management whereas
the adults tests are combined. These tests are particularly
suitable for anyone wanting to take their regular riding lessons
further.
The Sunday morning sessions for preschool and under 8 year
olds are un-booked, parent led half an hour sessions and cost
£13 per child. The sessions start at 9.00 am, 9.30 am,
10.00 am and 10.30 am. However as they are un-booked you should
be prepared to wait for the next half hour at busy times.
Hats can be provided. Children should wear trousers and a
boot or shoe with a small heel. The Sunday sessions can be
used as a taster session for older children as a one off.
Special activities are run during the School holidays for
children and the next holiday's activities are shown on the
website separately. Bookings are now being taken for these
events.
